Petrolia, Texas

Petrolia, situated about 13 miles northeast of Henrietta, is a small town rich with oil history. It was incorporated in 1909 and named after the flourishing petroleum industry in the area. As of the last census, Petrolia has a population of around 600 residents (source: U.S. Census Bureau).

The town’s main artery, State Highway 79, hosts local businesses and institutions such as the Petrolia High School, recognized for its excellence in sports and academics. To get from the center of Petrolia to Skelton’s Shop in Henrietta, start on S Prairie St and head south towards W Division St. Take a right onto W Division St and continue onto TX-148 S. In about 11 miles, turn left onto E Omega St in Henrietta, then right onto N Bridge St, and finally left onto E Wichita St. Skelton’s Shop will be on the right.
